[ShopeeFood] Can I cancel my ShopeeFood order?

You can cancel an order within 5 seconds after placing an order through the Shopee app. After this time, cancellations are limited. We understand this can be frustrating, so this guide will help explain why.

1. How to cancel an order 
You can cancel directly in the app within 10 seconds of placing your order:

 

Step 1: Go to Me > My Purchases

Step 2: Select your ShopeeFood order

Step 3: Tap Cancel Order (only available within 5 seconds)

💡 Tip: Always double-check your order details and delivery address before confirming.

2. When can I cancel my order?

Select Cancel Order in the Shopee app.

No driver assigned for an extended period

If the cancellation button is available, proceed with self-cancellation. Otherwise, chat with us.

Merchant closed after accepting order

✅ Yes

Chat with us to request a cancellation and provide proof. If the driver informed you, share their message. If the merchant called you, provide the call log.

Food not prepared after an extended time

✅ Yes

Chat with us to request a cancellation.

Wrong delivery address (driver not assigned)

✅ Yes

Change of mind

3. Why Can't I Cancel My Order?

  • Once food preparation begins, cancellation is not allowed.
  • If a driver is already assigned and on the way, the order must be completed.
  • These rules are in place to avoid food waste and to protect merchants and delivery partners. 

 4. Cancellation Rules & Refunds
  • Approved cancellations are refunded within 1–3 working days, depending on payment method (more info HERE).

  • Shopee Coins & Vouchers used will be automatically refunded (if still valid).
  • You can only cancel an order if the Cancel button is available in the app.
